Teaching in the knowledge society

RESUMEN
El desarrollo de la denominada Sociedad del conocimiento ha hecho que los antiguos paradigmas de los proyectos educativos sean replanteados. Los sistemas de enseñanza-aprendizaje han de actualizarse para incorporar las TIC. No obstante, esa incorporación de las nuevas tecnologías no está exenta de una serie de complicaciones, relacionadas con la selección de las tecnologías y estrategias más adecuadas para alcanzar las finalidades educativas. Si en un principio el problema era la escasez de medios disponibles, actualmente el reto es precisamente discriminar entre la multitud de recursos que el docente tiene a su disposición. Al mismo tiempo, el acceso a nuevas herramientas gratuitas (tanto software como hardware) posibilitan el acceso a la educación incluso en los ambientes más desfavorecidos.

ABSTRACT
The development of the so called Kwoledge society has made the old education project models be redifined. The learning systems must be updated to include the new information technologies. However, this new technologies adquisition is not exempted from a series of complications related to a choise of strategies and technologies suitable to achieve the education objetives. It, at the beginning, the problem was the lack tools, today the challenge is precisely to choose among the resources that teacher have. At the same time, the access to the new tools (both software and hardware), allows students the access to education even for those who live in the depressed areas.
